Aloha! I'm a photographer based in Honolulu, Hawaii specializing in travel, documentary, nature, and portraiture. I strive to create authentic, vibrant, storytelling imagery that illustrates the essence of Hawaii and my subjects. My approach to photography is intuitive and spontaneous, focused on capturing moments, emotion, and synchronicity in life. I'm an explorer at heart and I love to immerse myself into the lives of diverse people and environments, being mindful to the elements that surround me. I'm inspired by the wild beauty of the islands, swimming in the open ocean and the aloha spirit of the people here in Hawai'i.
My background is in documentary photography, I graduated in 2006 from the Brooks Institute of Photography in California with a BA in Visual Journalism. My work has been honored by the Pele Awards, Hawaiian Publishers Association Pa'i Awards, Society of Professional Journalists, College Photographer of the Year, and Women in Photojournalism contests among others. I live with my husband and daughter on the Ka Iwi Coast.
